And welcome to my little corner of the internet! This page serves as an introduction of what this site is all about, yes, but it also serves to explain how the site was made, what you can expect, and a little about me as well.

Let's get the formalities out of the way first. My name is Potr, but some also call me Poptart. I fancy myself an artist, even though I draw on an inconsistent/irregular basis. I do a good bit of worldbuilding. You will find, as I'm sure you could guess, a lot of my short stories and art on here.

About the Lore

Earth and it's people have faced many great catastrophies, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction time and time again. After several centuries of calm and rebuilding, visitors from beyond the void arrive. This allyship -- tenuous, fanatical -- between species is strained further as ancient enemies descend on humanity once more.

As a sci-fi/fantasy genre, the lore of Empty Skies blends magic and advanced technology into a single setting. Characters can spawn miniature suns with magic, or visit far-flung systems with FTL.

I took a great deal of inspiration from other settings, such as the Destiny franchise or Mass Effect. Look hard enough, and you can see where some ideas came from.

About the Site

This site was built using an open source prebuilt CSS framework called Bulma. This was my second time building a website, the first being for a school project. While it took getting used to, Bulma saved me a lot of time and effort getting everything set up.
